Adequate project management is one of key factors of successful project completion.

Every project is unique and the appropriate tools and methodologies should be chosen for management.

Two main approaches in project management are utilized in the Dev-House company, each of them has its own advantages.

• Rational Unified Process (RUP) is used for large long-term projects. It allows to manage the large volume of requirements, functions and objects. The methodology marks out the stages of analysis, systems and technical design, development and implementation. This is a cascade model which is used mostly in development and implementation of large projects such ERP-systems, DMS, CRM, etc.

• Modern world is fast and rapidly changing. Business should follow the changes in order not to fall behind. In this case modern technologies of rapid development also known as Agile-methods are becoming more and more popular. These methodologies were underestimated at first time and they were treated as unreliable. Later on they became matured and more reliable. Scrum methodology is used in our company.
